Caring agency achieves charity’s Diamond Award

Staffordshire-based marketing agency Lesniak Swann is pleased to have achieved a top partner award from The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice Trust (DLCHT).

The Diamond Partner Award was presented after supporting the local charity for over 3 years, and reaching a total pledge of £25,000.

Mark Lesniak, Joint Managing Director at Lesniak Swann said: “We’re delighted to have achieved this award, it’s a great honour. Our aim is do everything we can, as well as we can, on behalf of the charity.”

The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice Trust provides a range of specialist care and support services for children with a shortened life expectancy and their families. They provide this care and support from a purpose-built house ‘Treetops’ in Stoke on Trent.

He continues: We’ve got plenty planned to continue our support for the hospice. We’ve actually just developed a new, custom built Facebook page which will be used for the majority of the charity’s fundraising promotional activity”.

The long-term objective of the Facebook page is to spread awareness of the charity as far possible by creating as many ‘friends’ as possible, and help to remove the reliance on printed material to communicate fundraising activities. The Facebook page forms part of an overall digital strategy for the hospice, which will also see Lesniak Swann re-designing their website.

Melanie Mills, Director of Fundraising and Public Relations, of The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice Trust said: “We’re thrilled to have presented Lesniak Swann with this achievement. Their support has helped us raise the £2.2 million we need to continue to provide specialist care and support to hundreds of children and families across Staffordshire and South Cheshire.”

She continues: “We hope that the newly developed Facebook page will help us reach a more diverse audience, and will act as a platform to interact and engage with our supporters in a meaningful way.”

Marketing agency retains contract to ‘transform’ college’s future

A North Staffordshire based marketing agency is celebrating today after winning a two year marketing contract with one of Cheshire’s leading colleges.

Lesniak Swann, based on the Festival Park in Stoke-on-Trent, pitched against 5 other local and national design agencies to win the contract with South Cheshire College.

Alex Swann, Joint Managing Director at Lesniak Swann said: “We’re delighted to have retained our contract with South Cheshire College. We’ve worked with the College over the past three years and I think the fact that we won a Silver Heist Award for our collaborative work with them on their 2010 Full-time Prospectus is testament to how effectively we work together”.

The agency has over 35 years’ educational marketing experience, with clients including Stoke on Trent College, Staffordshire University and UCLan.

Mark Whittaker, Head of Marketing at South Cheshire College said: “The standard of concepts received from other agencies was high, but Lesniak Swann stood out to the whole panel. Their concepts were relevant and engaging for the target market and met our brief extremely well.

The new contract will see the agency working with the College on all of its marketing collateral including their Full-time Prospectus, Higher Education Prospectus, Work-Related Training Prospectus and all advertising.

Creative agency puts best foot forward

Integrated marketing communications agency Lesniak Swann is delighted after winning a lucrative design and programming contract for a global, multi-language footwear site.

After a three-way competitive pitch, the Staffordshire-based agency’s bespoke solution out shone the competitors, and Michelin Lifestyle Limited (MLL) recruited them.

Mark Lesniak, Joint Managing Director at Lesniak Swann said: “We’ve worked with Michelin Lifestyle since 2002, but this didn’t make us complacent for the pitch – we knew there was strong competition.

The in-house designers and programmers worked together to produce a bespoke, phased solution that allowed multiple user access, whilst allowing the brand ambassador complete control.

He continued: We’ve actually completed phase one of the project, which saw us adapting an existing site for a European launch”.

Phase two, which will be launched in the New Year, sees the agency developing the multiple users site. The content rich website will have the capability of the content being updated across the world by its distributors, whilst allowing MLL complete control. The site will also be multi-platform including mobile access.

Martin Gregory, Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Michelin said: “We’ve obviously built up a very good working relationship with Lesniak Swann over the years whilst using their design and print services.

He continued: We were delighted with the design and programming solution that they presented, and it was a unanimous decision to recruit them. Their solution was brilliant, but it was also their well-developed in-house structure which means that we’ve not had to create additional resource to manage the project.
